Steel Shot Blasting Services
Leeco® Steel offers shot blasting services to remove mill scale and other surface residues from its steel plate products, allowing customers to apply surface finishes with ease.
What is Shot Blasting?
Shot blasting – also known as abrasive shot blasting – is a common method for cleaning and polishing steel plate. During the shot blasting process, a small steel shot abrasive about the size of a sand grain is blasted at the material’s surface. Combined with great force, the steel shot abrasive removes surface residue from the material without damaging its surface. Request a QuoteLeeco’s Shot Blasting Capabilities

Benefits of Shot Blasting
The presence of mill scale and other surface residues can make surface finishes applied to steel plate – such as paint – flake off over time. However, shot blasting removes these contaminants, making surface finishes last longer.Common Applications
Shot blasted steel plate is used in various industries and applications, including:- Heavy-duty vehicles and trucks, such as those used in the construction, mining and agricultural industries
- Wind and energy industries, including transmission and distribution
